The former headquarters of Canal+ in Issy-les-Moulineaux has been transformed into Goodlife, a 28,000 m² mixed-use development redefining adaptive reuse in the Paris region. Originally constructed in 2002, the eight-storey superstructure with five basement levels, known as the l’Eiffel building, has undergone a comprehensive architectural reinvention led by Atelier 115 Architects.
The redesign introduced new vertical connections, expanded façade elements and a reconfigured central patio, supported by an upgraded steel framework. Central to the concept of transparency and openness was the integration of 650 m² of Pyroguard Protect EI60 fire-rated glazing.

Installed internally around stairwells, the atrium and meeting rooms, Pyroguard Protect EI60 delivers 60 minutes of fire resistance (EI classification) while maintaining edge-to-edge visual continuity. The toughened glass solution provides both integrity and heat insulation, alongside 1B1 impact classification, strong acoustic performance and UV stability. The result is a light-filled interior environment that meets stringent European fire safety standards without compromising aesthetics.
The glazing system was engineered and manufactured by MAF Atlantique, with on-site installation delivered by TSM France. Structural steel framing was supplied by Jansen, ensuring seamless integration between fire-rated glass and load-bearing elements.
Goodlife is targeting HQE, BREEAM and BBCA Renovation certifications, reflecting its low-carbon and energy-efficient redevelopment strategy. Pyroguard’s fully tested and certified glazing solutions contribute directly to these sustainability objectives, reinforcing fire safety while supporting environmental performance.
