At Fensterbau Frontale 2026 in Nuremberg, the HEGLA Group will highlight integrated solutions designed to optimise storage, logistics, finishing processes and sustainability across the glass and window industry. From automated recycling systems to mobile warehouse modules and post-installation glass enhancement, the company’s focus is firmly on efficiency with added value.
IG2Pieces: Sustainable and Profitable IGU Separation
A key innovation on display is IG2Pieces, an automated system for separating end-of-life insulated glass units (IGUs) into their individual components without damage. By enabling clean separation of panes and materials, the system significantly increases recycling rates while preserving raw material quality.
Separated panes can be reused directly, while even disposal becomes more profitable compared to conventional mixed-container recycling. In cases involving newly manufactured IGUs with high-quality edge bonds, separation and repair can generate additional financial returns. The system’s sustainability and economic potential have earned it a nomination for the Innovation Award at Fensterbau Frontale.

Mobile Storage Systems for Long Goods and Profiles
HEGLA will also present various configurations of its mobile PVC-U storage systems. Designed to maximise warehouse space, the modules are positioned closely together and open automatically to create an access aisle only when loading or unloading begins.
This solution allows direct forklift access to pallets and long goods profiles without restacking. System height and storage width are individually configurable, with side handling for cantilever racks and front access for pull-out variants.
Specialised Transport and Post-Installation Finishing
In the logistics segment, a converted Renault Master equipped with exterior and optional interior rack systems will demonstrate safe and flexible glass transport solutions.

Additionally, HEGLA boraident will showcase the BIRDfriend laser-printing system, which enables post-installation finishing of glazing to create effective bird protection glass. The subtle laser-printed pattern alerts birds, reduces reflections and enhances product value, supporting sustainability even after installation.
HEGLA will exhibit from 24–27 March at booth 3A-103, presenting technologies that combine operational efficiency with circular-economy principles.
