Kuraray’s Advanced Interlayer Solutions (AIS) Division has announced the opening of a new regional office in Dubai, marking a significant step in strengthening its long-term presence and commitment to innovation in the Middle East.
The new office underlines Kuraray’s strategic focus on supporting the region’s fast-evolving engineering, fabrication, and architectural sectors. Dubai was selected as the location due to its position as a leading logistics and business hub, as well as the UAE’s strong economic outlook, rising construction demand, and record levels of real estate activity.
Population growth across the Middle East continues to drive large-scale investment in residential, commercial, educational, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and sports infrastructure. These trends are increasing demand for advanced glazing solutions that combine structural performance, design flexibility, and sustainability.
Commenting on the opening, Kamal Niazy, General Manager of Kuraray Products Middle East Trading LLC, highlighted Dubai’s role as a regional benchmark for innovation. He noted that the city is seeing rapid growth in the use of high-performance components within glazing systems and façade structures. The new office will enable Kuraray to work more closely with architects, engineers, consultants, developers, and specification teams, positioning glazing not only as a structural and aesthetic element, but also as a driver of sustainability and architectural identity.
Alongside new-build activity, the refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings across the region is also accelerating. This has contributed to growing demand for Kuraray’s high-performance interlayer technologies, including Trosifol® PVB and SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayers. SentryGlas® in particular enables thinner and lighter glass panels compared to monolithic glass, while delivering enhanced durability, safety, and overall performance, key advantages for modern façade and glazing applications.
Alberto Alarcon, Global Marketing Communications Leader at AIS, stated that the Dubai office will act as a hub for innovation, customer engagement, and design excellence. He emphasized that the regional presence will strengthen relationships with existing clients, support new partnerships, and enhance collaboration with architects and designers, contributing to the dynamic architectural landscape of the Middle East.
