The Albanian Investment Corporation has presented the International Concept Design Competition for the architectural design and construction of the New Children’s House & Inspectorates Complex, a multifunctional public building planned for Rruga e Elbasanit, Tirana.
The project is conceived as a contemporary, integrated facility combining spaces dedicated to children with institutional and inspectorate functions. It aims to deliver a high-quality public environment that responds to social needs while reinforcing efficiency, accessibility and long-term functionality within a single architectural complex.



An international and multidisciplinary team is behind the concept, including Stefano Boeri Architetti, GROSS.MAX, Patrick Tuttofuoco, Smart Studio, AEI Progetti, alongside Gruppo Koni shpk and Koni Costruzioni Srl.
During the presentation, architectural visuals and design principles were introduced to institutional representatives and industry professionals. The concept emphasises urban integration, human-centred design and flexible spatial solutions suited to a multifunctional public building.



The competition presentation marks an important step in the project’s development, highlighting Albania’s growing ambition to deliver public architecture aligned with international standards while combining global design expertise with local execution.
