Glyngary Joinery has completed a £250,000 investment in new production machinery, strengthening its manufacturing capabilities while maintaining the craftsmanship that defines its timber window and door solutions.
The investment focuses on expanding capacity and improving workflow efficiency across key areas of the business. New profiling machinery has been installed within the joinery department, enabling increased weekly frame output to meet rising customer demand. In the assembly area, a dedicated milling solution for astragal bars and beads has been introduced, delivering greater speed, accuracy, and consistency in production.
Further enhancing throughput, Glyngary has added a new hydraulic corner cramping machine, accelerating the joining of mortise and tenon joints while improving both structural performance and visual quality.
Commenting on the investment, Joe Trueman, Director at Glyngary Joinery, said the upgrades had been carefully planned to support sustainable growth. He explained that the company remains focused on reducing lead times for customers without compromising the handmade quality that underpins its reputation.
Demand for traditionally manufactured, high-performance timber windows and doors continues to grow across the UK market, particularly among window installers, trade counters, architects, renovators and housebuilders. Glyngary’s approach combines modern precision engineering with established joinery techniques, positioning the business as a reliable supplier for projects where performance, aesthetics and craftsmanship are equally important.
