Glaston has reached a significant milestone in insulating glass manufacturing with the delivery of its 1,500th UNIT’ASSEMBLER to AGC Glass Europe in the Czech Republic. The milestone reflects the continued global success of Glaston’s advanced insulating glass technology and further strengthens the company’s position as a leading supplier of automated solutions for the glass processing industry.
The delivered machine is a ZPG-V type UNIT’ASSEMBLER, which will be used by AGC Glass Europe for the production of Pyrobel-T fire-resistant insulating glass units. The system is designed to manufacture both standard rectangular insulating glass units and a wide range of complex shaped formats, offering the flexibility required for demanding architectural glazing applications.
The UNIT’ASSEMBLER has become well known across the insulating glass industry for combining automated assembly, gas filling and pressing into one highly efficient production process. The technology supports the production of double-, triple- and quadruple-glazed insulating glass units while ensuring high precision, stable quality and improved productivity.

One of the system’s key advantages is its precise glass alignment technology. The machine uses a lifting beam at the lower running level together with a fixed stop at the front edge, ensuring consistent compression across all glass units regardless of their configuration. This guarantees uniform production quality throughout the manufacturing process.
The integrated gas filling system is another major feature. A calibrated gas sensor continuously monitors the filling process to ensure accurate and reproducible gas concentration levels. In addition, the optional synchro gas-filling function enables triple-glazed insulating glass units to be filled with gas within the same cycle time as double-glazed units, helping manufacturers increase efficiency and reduce production times.
Thanks to its modular design, the UNIT’ASSEMBLER supports all standard rigid and flexible spacer systems, including TPS®. Depending on the configuration, the machine can process extra-long insulating glass units up to 6.00 meters in tandem operation and working heights of up to 3.30 meters.
“The delivery of the 1,500th UNIT’ASSEMBLER is a strong sign of our customers’ confidence in the quality and performance of this machine,” said Jens Mayr, EVP Solutions & Operations at Glaston.
