ICCG 2026 Brings Advanced Glass Coating Technologies to Berlin

The International Conference on Coatings on Glass and Plastics (ICCG) 2026 is taking place from 15–17 September 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Ku’damm in Berlin, Germany, bringing together researchers, coating manufacturers, equipment suppliers, technology developers and glass-industry specialists from across the international market.

Held under the theme “Efficiency in Focus: Unlocking Potentials in Large-Area Coating,” the 15th ICCG focuses on technologies that can improve the performance, productivity and industrial scalability of coated glass and plastic products. The programme features more than 35 technical presentations, with participation from up to 200 delegates and 30 exhibitors.

Key technology areas include magnetron sputtering, HiPIMS, ion beam sputtering, ALD, CVD, wet coating, advanced metrology, automation and AI-based process control. A dedicated Smart Manufacturing & Process Control session examines real-time coating monitoring, simulation, digitalisation and AI-driven production optimisation.

The conference also addresses major application markets, including architectural glazing, automotive glass, photovoltaics, photonics, electronics, hydrogen, batteries and energy storage. A new Large-Area Optics session highlights emerging applications in laser fusion, space communications and semiconductor manufacturing.

Among the participating organisations are Şişecam, AGC, Soleras Advanced Coatings, Fraunhofer institutes, Von Ardenne, TNO, Glas Trösch, Schott and TU Berlin, underlining ICCG’s role as an important technical meeting point for the future of high-performance coating technologies.
