Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş., the joint venture formed by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and Deutsche Messe AG, has named Ozan Hünler as its new General Manager, effective 1 December 2025. The organisation is responsible for two of the Eurasian region’s most influential industrial trade fairs: ANKIROS, focused on metallurgy and foundry technologies, and ALUEXPO, dedicated to the global aluminium industry.
Messe Düsseldorf’s entry into the joint venture at the beginning of 2024 represented a strategic expansion into the rapidly growing Eurasian market. This move not only strengthened its competitive global position in metallurgy-related exhibitions, but also offered its international exhibitors and partners direct access to Türkiye’s increasingly investment-driven industrial base. Hünler is expected to further scale this momentum and lead the company through its next phase of growth.
With more than ten years of sector-specific expertise, Hünler brings a solid commercial background. Over the past five years, he managed sales and marketing for Hawle Austria Group in Türkiye, a major provider of water-supply technologies. Before that, he served five years as Sales Manager for AkzoNobel Automotive Coatings in Türkiye, gaining experience across chemical, automotive and engineering markets.
Wolfram N. Diener, President & CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, highlighted Hünler’s strong capability in strategic partnerships and business expansion. The leadership transition follows the gradual departure of founder Ibrahim Anil, who stepped down as shareholder but will remain General Manager until February 2026 after building ANKIROS and ALUEXPO into internationally recognised platforms.
