AluFold Windows has outlined its structured operating model at its newly established manufacturing facility in Blackburn, presenting a clear vision for disciplined, supply-only aluminium fabrication designed to support both residential and commercial projects.
Located at the Whitebirk Industrial Estate near the M65 corridor, the 70,000 sq ft factory represents a significant step forward for the company’s production strategy. The move follows the acquisition of AluFold Direct by Unique Window Systems in June last year, with the business spending the past eight months refining workflows, production logistics and operational control within the new space.
According to Managing Director Neal Addison, relocating to a purpose-built facility has transformed the way the company operates. The layout has been designed to optimise production flow, enhance efficiency and create a scalable manufacturing environment capable of supporting long-term growth. The emphasis is on consistency, ensuring aluminium products are fabricated through repeatable, process-driven systems rather than bespoke, high-complexity manufacturing.
AluFold Windows continues to position itself strictly as a supply-only fabricator, reinforcing its role as a partner to installers and contractors rather than a competitor. By avoiding direct installation work, the company aims to create stronger collaboration with trade customers and provide dependable manufacturing support without market conflict.
The business has also streamlined its aluminium offering around core, repeatable systems, enabling faster production cycles and improved quality control. Commercial Director Rhodri John highlights that the strategy is built around simplifying aluminium specification at the earliest possible stage.
