Yale Door and Window Solutions has strengthened its commitment to advancing women in the fenestration industry by sponsoring the inaugural Professional Development Day organised by the Women in Fenestration Network (WFN), held in recognition of International Women’s Day.
Scheduled for 25 June 2026 in Bristol, the event has been created by WFN Founder Sarah Ball, a long-standing industry professional with more than 20 years of experience. The initiative aims to create a focused platform where women working across the sector can exchange knowledge, build stronger professional networks and gain practical support for long-term career development.
The programme will feature a series of structured sessions designed to promote leadership, confidence and progression within the industry. Highlights include a keynote presentation from author and speaker Sara Harling, whose work explores communication and workplace dynamics, alongside dedicated networking opportunities intended to encourage collaboration across the supply chain.
Speaking on the announcement, Gemma Diratzonian, Head of Brand & Fenestration Lead – Residential at ASSA ABLOY, emphasised the importance of initiatives that challenge traditional perceptions and help attract more female talent into the sector. She noted that Yale’s sponsorship reflects a wider commitment to ensuring women are represented at every level of the industry, from technical and commercial roles to leadership positions.
The Professional Development Day is expected to become a key date in the industry calendar, bringing together professionals for a full day of learning, discussion and networking. The event also coincides with the evening PIGS Bristol gathering, enabling participants to extend conversations and connections beyond the daytime sessions.
