Hydro has awarded Sistem Teknik Industrial Furnaces a contract to deliver a new aluminium logs homogenising centre at its production facility in Luce, France, reinforcing the long-term technical collaboration between the two companies and supporting Hydro’s ongoing production optimisation strategy.
At the core of the project is a 30-ton per charge homogenising centre, engineered to provide high-capacity billet processing while improving energy efficiency and operational integration. Designed specifically around the requirements of the Luce facility, the system combines homogenising, controlled cooling, billet handling, precision cutting and advanced automation into a single streamlined production line.

A key feature of the installation is the integration of a modern automation platform enabling centralised control of temperature profiles, cycle times and billet tracking. Operators will manage the entire process via a user-friendly interface offering real-time data visualisation, diagnostics and alarm management, ensuring enhanced production visibility and full billet traceability throughout the line.
Beyond supplying new equipment, Sistem Teknik will also модерnise selected existing systems at the Luce plant. By upgrading control logic and harmonising communication protocols, the homogenising centre will operate as a fully integrated element of Hydro’s wider production infrastructure, supporting continuity while introducing improved process control.
The project further strengthens the longstanding partnership between Hydro and Sistem Teknik, reflecting a shared focus on innovation, operational reliability and sustainable industrial growth within the aluminium sector.
