VITRUM 2027 Launches International Roadshow from Morocco

The international journey towards VITRUM 2027 officially began in Morocco during GIMAV’s business mission held in Casablanca from 4 to 7 May 2026. The upcoming edition of the exhibition will take place from 16 to 19 November 2027 at Fiera Milano, introducing a renewed format designed to strengthen its international profile and broaden its industry reach.

The announcement was made during the plenary session organised by GIMAV in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency on 5 May, where GIMAV Director General Lucia Masutti unveiled a series of international roadshow events that will accompany the exhibition in the lead-up to 2027. Morocco was selected as the first destination due to its growing strategic importance and expanding industrial potential within the glass sector.

VITRUM 2027 will introduce an evolved exhibition concept centred around the “Glass Economy,” positioning glass as a key material across multiple industries including construction, automotive, packaging, furniture, design, renewable energy and sustainable technologies. The exhibition will expand beyond its traditional focus on flat glass processing technologies to also include hollow glass production and broader industrial applications.

The new format aims to create a fully integrated international platform capable of connecting manufacturers, processors, machinery suppliers, institutions, designers and end users. According to Lucia Masutti, the objective is to transform VITRUM into more than a conventional trade fair by building a global ecosystem focused on innovation, sustainability and industrial collaboration.

A key element in the project’s development will also be the partnership with Italian Exhibition Group, which will support the exhibition’s international expansion and strategic growth. Further international events are expected over the coming months as the VITRUM roadshow continues across key global markets.
