NSG Group Unveils HomeComfort Range at Glasstec 2024

From October 22 to 25, 2024, NSG Group will showcase its latest innovations at Glasstec 2024, held in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Attendees can find the newly introduced HomeComfort range at Hall 10, Stand G20. This exciting product line is designed to enhance home comfort while showcasing NSG Group’s commitment to sustainability through its ongoing makechange™ initiatives.

Balancing Sustainability and Comfort

As pioneers of the float glass process, NSG Group is at the forefront of improving both the environmental footprint of its products and the overall comfort of living and working spaces. The HomeComfort range embodies this dual commitment, combining cutting-edge technology with eco-friendly principles.

HeatComfort: Sustainable Heating Solution

A standout feature of the HomeComfort range is HeatComfort, an innovative heated insulating glass solution that boasts the electrically conductive NSG TEC™ coating. This revolutionary product is engineered to minimize heat loss during colder months, ensuring a stable and comfortable indoor climate. Notably, while HeatComfort does not alter the U-value, it significantly boosts a home’s energy efficiency, harmonizing comfort with sustainability—a feat that is becoming increasingly essential in today’s environmentally conscious market.

LuxComfort: Integrated Sun Protection

Equally impressive is LuxComfort, a product that takes climate control a step further by integrating blinds within the glass panes. This intelligently designed solution provides both sun protection and thermal comfort, making it ideal for energy-efficient building projects. During the warmer months, LuxComfort effectively blocks out sunlight to prevent overheating, while in colder seasons, users can easily raise the blinds, allowing natural solar heat to enhance warmth without additional heating costs.

Year-Round Climate Control with HomeComfort

Together, the components of the HomeComfort range offer a holistic approach to year-round climate control that is user-friendly and efficient. The integration with HubComfort allows residents to manage their glass systems remotely, making it easier to adjust the environment to their liking, whether they are at home or away.

The Purpose Behind HomeComfort

Alderlan Vitalino, Global VA and Marketing Director for Europe Architectural Glass SBU, remarks, “As remote working becomes more common, creating a home environment that balances comfort and efficiency has never been more important. HomeComfort was developed to meet this need, offering glass solutions that make living and working spaces more comfortable, energy-efficient, and adaptable.”

Looking to the future, NSG Group plans to expand the HomeComfort range further, with an unwavering focus on enhancing living comfort while adhering to sustainable practices.

In addition to the HomeComfort range, NSG Group will present a selection of other pioneering products at Glasstec 2024. Visitors can explore Pilkington Mirai™, recognized as the lowest embodied carbon glass on the market, and Pilkington AviSafe™, engineered to improve bird safety without compromising visibility.

NSG Group’s participation in Glasstec 2024 marks an important step forward in the intersection between sustainable innovation and the comfort of modern living. With the introduction of the HomeComfort range, NSG is not only meeting consumer needs but also setting a benchmark in the industry for environmentally friendly glass solutions.
