GlassBuild America, the premier event for the glass, window, and door industry, concluded its 2024 edition in Dallas, Texas, marking a resounding success with record-breaking attendance and exhibitor participation.

This year’s show, the largest in 16 years, showcased the industry’s dynamism and innovative spirit.

The event, held for the first time in Dallas, occupied over 200,000 net square feet and welcomed 535 exhibiting companies – including 115 newcomers – and over 9,400 attendees from 49 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, and 57 other countries. This significant increase in participation underscores the event’s growing global influence and the industry’s continued momentum.

The change of venue to Dallas proved highly successful, injecting new energy into the show. Nicole Harris, NGA president and CEO, commented, “We anticipated an event that highlighted innovation and provided solutions to current challenges, particularly labor shortages, and this year’s show exceeded expectations.” Exhibitors consistently reported a revitalized atmosphere, with ample opportunities to connect with new customers and foster valuable business relationships. Attendees, meanwhile, actively sought out opportunities for business growth and professional development.

GlassBuild 2024 wasn’t just about showcasing products; it was also a significant hub for industry education and professional development. The event hosted the 18th NGA Glazing Executives Forum and the third annual Blueprint for Collaboration educational event for the architecture and design community. The GlassBuild Main Stage featured a comprehensive program of informative sessions, while a noteworthy addition this year was the on-site Architectural Glass & Metal Technician (AGMT) certification testing. Twenty-one experienced glaziers put their skills to the test, showcasing their expertise in fundamental glazing procedures.

Furthermore, GlassBuild 2024 extended its outreach to the next generation of industry professionals. Fifty local students from Plano ISD Academy High School participated, engaging with exhibitors, attending Main Stage sessions, and observing the AGMT testing, providing them with valuable insights into potential career paths within the glass and fenestration sectors.

The success of GlassBuild America 2024 in Dallas is a testament to the industry’s vibrancy and the continued importance of in-person networking and knowledge-sharing. The record-breaking participation and positive feedback from both exhibitors and attendees solidify the event’s position as a vital platform for innovation, collaboration, and growth within the glass, window, and door industry. The excitement generated in Dallas bodes well for future editions of this crucial industry event.
