The legal troubles surrounding former Florida-based contractor Mister Window continue to escalate, as multiple lawsuits, customer complaints, and official investigations bring increased scrutiny to the now-defunct company.
According to reports by WFLA News Channel 8, Mister Window, previously headquartered in Palmetto, is facing more than 40 complaints filed with the Florida Attorney General’s Office. The allegations largely center on the company’s failure to deliver contracted services after receiving upfront payments from customers.
In addition to consumer complaints, the company is entangled in a growing number of legal disputes with vendors. One notable case involves Colony Hardware Corp., which filed a lawsuit in April 2026 seeking over $50,000 in damages for unpaid materials. The claim alleges breach of contract tied to construction supplies purchased in late 2025 that remain unsettled.
Court records from Manatee County Clerk of Courts reveal a pattern of litigation dating back to 2022, with at least 10 cases filed in the county alone. Mister Window Holding Corp. is named as a defendant in nearly all of them, with additional lawsuits reported in other jurisdictions.
Customer grievances paint a similarly troubling picture. In one March ruling, a judge ordered the company to pay more than $24,000 to a homeowner after failing to install hurricane-resistant windows despite receiving an $18,000 deposit. Court documents state the company never began work, delivered materials, or fulfilled contractual obligations.
The situation has also drawn the attention of law enforcement. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has launched a criminal investigation into the company’s conduct, while complaints suggest some customers were left with liens placed on their homes.
