The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) will officially launch GGF Wales with a dedicated regional event on 7 July 2026, bringing together businesses, technical experts and industry bodies from across the Welsh glass and glazing sector.
Taking place at the Elephant and Castle Hotel in Newtown, Powys, the one-day event will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm and is designed to provide practical support, technical guidance and networking opportunities for companies operating throughout Wales.
The initiative reflects the Federation’s growing focus on regional engagement, ensuring that businesses have direct access to industry expertise while staying informed about evolving regulations, compliance requirements and training opportunities.
A key highlight of the programme will be a technical presentation delivered by Kevin Jones, Head of Technical at the GGF. His session will examine recently introduced Welsh regulations and standards affecting the sector, providing attendees with insight into compliance obligations and the potential impact on day-to-day operations.
Throughout the event, visitors will be able to engage directly with representatives from across the GGF Group and partner organisations. Specialists from GGF Training will provide information on qualifications, workforce development and training pathways, while FENSA will offer guidance on registration processes and regulatory compliance.
Additional support will be available from Installsure, which will discuss insurance solutions including Insurance Backed Guarantees, and RISA, whose representatives will explain inspection procedures and industry compliance requirements. BFRC will also attend, outlining its testing services and the preferential rates available to GGF members.
Ann-marie Waugh, Regional Manager at the GGF, said the event demonstrates the Federation’s commitment to supporting regional members and addressing the specific challenges faced by businesses operating in Wales.
