The 20th Furnace Solutions Conference will take place on 3–4 June 2026 in St Helens, UK, bringing together leading voices from across the global glass industry to address one of its most pressing challenges: decarbonisation and the reality of achieving Net Zero in industrial melting processes.
Organised by the Sustainable-Melting Technical Committee of the Society of Glass Technology, the milestone event will host glassmakers, suppliers, and end users from across Europe and beyond. Confirmed participants include major industry players such as AGC, Guardian, Saint-Gobain, Verallia, Superglass, and L’Oréal, reflecting the conference’s strong cross-sector relevance.
Under the theme “Decarbonisation: What’s the Reality?”, the programme will focus on practical solutions, technological innovation, and real-world case studies from across the glass supply chain. Experts will present technical insights into sustainable melting, energy efficiency, and circular economy strategies, offering attendees actionable knowledge to support industry transformation.
Beyond the technical sessions, delegates will benefit from extensive networking opportunities, including a Civic Reception and Dinner at St Helens Town Hall, as well as a guided visit to the Glass Futures R&D Innovation Centre.
Hosted at the Totally Wicked Stadium, home of St Helens Rugby League Club, the event also encourages early registration due to high demand and limited capacity.
