The latest edition of Glassman Latin America has officially concluded in Mexico City, closing two days of intensive exchange, technical discussion, and high-level networking across the hollow and container glass industries.
Throughout the event, the exhibition floor brought together manufacturers, suppliers, and industry specialists from across Latin America and beyond. With more than 100 exhibitors and a strong presence of decision-makers, the show created a focused environment where real operational challenges and future-facing solutions in glass production were discussed in depth.

A central theme across the conference program was decarbonisation and the transition toward more efficient and sustainable glassmaking. Conversations consistently highlighted the importance of reducing emissions, improving furnace performance, and integrating advanced technologies that support smarter, cleaner production processes. These topics reflected the industry’s shared direction and the urgency to modernise production systems while maintaining competitiveness.
One of the key highlights of the event was a technical presentation delivered during the conference programme, focusing on “Decarbonising glass forming: synergistic advances in oxy-gas combustion and electric forehearth technologies.” The session attracted strong interest from engineers and production specialists, leading to valuable discussions around practical pathways for industrial transformation.
