From 24 to 27 March 2026, FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2026 and HOLZ-HANDWERK 2026 once again transformed Nuremberg into the global hub for the window, door, façade and woodworking industries. Held at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, the co-located events welcomed around 75,000 visitors from 117 countries and featured 1,022 exhibitors representing 47 nations, reinforcing their position as a key international meeting point for the sector.

Across four days, the exhibition halls were marked by high energy, strong footfall and an increase in exhibitor participation compared to previous editions. The event highlighted the growing importance of face-to-face interaction in an industry undergoing transformation, with packed stands, live demonstrations and in-depth discussions shaping the overall experience.

Exhibition leaders underlined the event’s impact. Stefan Dittrich, Director of HOLZ-HANDWERK, emphasized the sector’s innovation and craftsmanship, noting the importance of direct engagement for carpenters and joiners. Elke Harreiß, Executive Director of FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, pointed to the strength of industry collaboration, highlighting how the co-location continues to generate valuable synergies. Chiara Sträßner, Director of FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, also stressed the success of new formats such as the Stage, Innovation Award and Future Room, all designed to foster knowledge exchange and inspiration.

A major highlight of the event was the comprehensive supporting programme. The FENSTERBAU FRONTALE Stage addressed key topics including energy-efficient refurbishment, climate adaptation, circular economy practices and digital planning processes. The first-ever FENSTERBAU FRONTALE Innovation Award was presented to Remmers GmbH for its Induline I-130 solution, selected from 39 entries. Additional recognitions included “Window Manufacturer of the Year 2026” awarded to MB Fensterbau Beelitz GmbH and the MeisterAward presented to Hendryk Urban and Lisa-Marie Schmiedle.

On the HOLZ-HANDWERK side, new formats such as the Arena and Material Show, supported by VDMA Woodworking Machinery Association and FSH, focused on training, digitalisation and innovative materials. The HOLZ-HANDWERK Campus further highlighted education and career pathways in woodworking professions.

A strong synergy between both fairs was evident in initiatives like the “Future Room,” developed with 100 PROZENT DIGITAL, which explored AI-driven planning, smart building technologies and future workplace concepts.
