DLF’s Vertical City Redefines High-Rise Urbanism in Tel Aviv

Vertical City is a proposed mixed-use high-rise development set to reshape the skyline of Ramat Gan, Tel Aviv’s central business district. Designed by DLF Architecture in collaboration with WSP Landscape Architects and MSP Engineers, the project introduces a vertically integrated urban model that consolidates residential, commercial, cultural, and leisure functions within a single architectural system.

The development is composed of three interconnected towers rising to a combined height of 470 metres across 111 floors, positioning Vertical City among the tallest structures in Israel. Rather than functioning as isolated volumes, the towers are physically and programmatically linked, enabling continuity between uses and creating a cohesive vertical environment. Living, working, studying, and public activities are distributed throughout the structure, reinforcing the concept of a self-contained vertical city.

A defining element of the project is its vertical park system, described by the design team as a “green waterfall.” This landscaped spine extends from ground level upward through the towers, forming a continuous ecological and social layer that connects public and private spaces while introducing greenery into the high-rise typology.

Circulation systems are designed to support both everyday occupancy and public access, culminating in an observation deck at the top of the towers. From this elevated point, panoramic views across the Tel Aviv metropolitan area are made accessible.

Through its scale, vertical organisation, and integration of landscape architecture, Vertical City proposes an alternative approach to density, one that consolidates urban functions vertically while embedding green infrastructure into the fabric of high-rise development, contributing a new architectural landmark to Ramat Gan’s evolving urban skyline.
