Aluprof Expands Sun Shading Portfolio with New Sliding Shutter Panels for Pergola Systems

Homeowners and apartment owners are increasingly investing in their outdoor spaces, treating the garden or terrace as a natural extension of the living area. They are looking for solutions that create a comfortable place to relax while maintaining a connection with nature and delivering a coherent, attractive design.

Aluprof Sun Shading Solutions responds to these needs with the introduction of Shutters – a new sliding panel system in its product range. Designed as an aluminium louvred panel system for pergola side enclosure, Shutters provide another way – alongside screens and sliding glass panels – to control sunlight, protect against wind and enhance users’ sense of privacy.

Shutters make it possible to shape the comfort of the space beneath the pergola with complete flexibility: from a fully open view to partial or full screening of the relaxation area.

Functional side enclosure for pergolas

The Shutters panel system has been designed for full integration with Aluprof’s popular pergolas from the SB 550SB 450SB 400SB 350 and Solid ranges. The panels act as a modern side enclosure, allowing users to regulate the amount of light, improve comfort in outdoor spaces and create a greater sense of privacy.

Unlike standard side screens, Shutters panels are fitted with movable louvres, which can be freely adjusted in a similar way to window blinds. This makes it possible to adapt the level of shading and ventilation to current weather conditions and individual user preferences.

Made from extruded aluminium, the panel system is highly durable and resistant to weather conditions.

When designing Shutters, we focused on functionality and design. We offer a durable product that is resistant to sunlight and demanding weather conditions, perfectly aligned with the idea of creating year-round relaxation areas and designed to complement our flagship pergolas,” says Tomasz Ziółkowski, Product Manager at Aluprof.

Comfort in use and flexible configuration

Special guide rails, available in double and triple versions, allow up to three modules to move smoothly at the same time. Mounted on bearing rollers, the panels glide smoothly and effortlessly, and can be stopped in any position.

The system allows up to five modules to be combined, reaching a total enclosure length of up to 6.7 metres. This gives considerable freedom when designing and arranging terrace spaces. Aluprof Shutters are also distinguished by their high wind load resistance: class 6.

Colour personalisation

Aesthetics play an important role in the design of outdoor spaces, which is why Shutters offer a wide range of personalisation options, allowing them to be matched to the pergola, windows and doors, and the building façade. The product can be powder-coated in any colour from the RAL palette, with the additional option of choosing different colours for the frame and the aluminium louvres.

Wood-effect finishes are also available in response to the growing popularity of natural accents in architecture. Customers can choose from finishes such as mahogany, cherry, walnut, golden oak, malt oak, Winchester and the highly popular Turner Oak – combining the visual warmth of wood with the durability of aluminium. Current trends show that project owners are increasingly choosing solutions that combine a painted frame with wood-effect louvres, giving them greater freedom to tailor the appearance of the system to their own expectations.
