L’Oréal Italia has officially inaugurated its new headquarters in Milan – the Beauty Hub, a nine-storey office building that brings together workplace flexibility, architectural clarity, and high-performance façade engineering. For this flagship project, AGC was selected as the glazing partner, delivering advanced glass solutions tailored to both performance and well-being.
Designed by studio Lombardini22, the 13,000 m² building overlooks the Milan skyline and integrates two large panoramic terraces on the fourth and eighth floors, reinforcing the connection between interior workspaces and the urban environment. The architectural concept places transparency and daylight at the centre of the design, a strategy clearly reflected in the façade execution.

A total of 8,000 m² of glazing was installed across the building envelope, realised through fully glazed, full-height curtain wall façades. The façades are composed of laminated safety glass, specifically engineered to meet fall-protection requirements while maintaining visual continuity and openness.
The primary façade specification combines Stopray Vision 62/33 and iplus 1.0T, two high-performance AGC products selected to balance solar control, thermal insulation, and occupant comfort. Stopray Vision 62/33 features a double silver coating with high selectivity and a solar factor of 33%, effectively limiting solar heat gains while preserving excellent transparency and acoustic performance. This allows uninterrupted views across the city while ensuring stable indoor conditions.

Complementing this, iplus 1.0T delivers a Ug value of 1.0 W/m²K, providing strong thermal insulation and contributing to reduced heating demand. Notably, iplus 1.0T is AGC’s first low-emissivity coating to also offer safety functionality, achieved through a dedicated hardening process.
Beyond façade performance, the Beauty Hub reflects a broader commitment to sustainability and digital readiness. The building has achieved LEED Platinum and WELL certifications, aligning with L’Oréal’s long-term environmental strategy, while WiredScore Platinum recognises its advanced digital infrastructure.

Through precise glass selection and façade integration, the project demonstrates how architectural transparency and technical performance can work in parallel, positioning the Beauty Hub as a benchmark for contemporary office façades in Italy.
