WOOD GLASS TEAM Expands Glass Processing with HEGLA Technology

Based in Strzelno, Poland, WOOD GLASS TEAM has built its production capabilities around two complementary activities: insulating glass unit manufacturing and the production of timber and timber-aluminium windows and doors under the WOOD Natural brand.

Established in 2012 and operational since January 2014, the company has followed a strategy of gradual investment, expanding its infrastructure as production requirements increased. Today, approximately 200 employees support its operations.

Technology plays a central role in this development. WOOD GLASS TEAM operates two specialised glass cutting lines, including the HEGLA OPTIMAX, equipped for automatic glass breaking along the X and Y axes, and a ProLam line for laminated glass processing, which can also process float glass.

The company has progressively automated its glass storage and residual material management. Its original automatic portal storage system served two cutting lines. As the range of glass types expanded, WOOD GLASS TEAM added KPL mobile racking warehouses and a second portal storage system.

A further step was the introduction of the HEGLA ReMaster warehouse for residual glass sheets. Instead of treating offcuts simply as waste, the system enables suitable residual sheets to be stored and returned to production. Later cutting-line investments also incorporated ReMaster technology.

The latest development includes a new-generation ProLam line with LSR technology, strengthening laminated glass processing and production repeatability.

Alongside glass production, WOOD Natural provides timber and timber-aluminium windows and doors, allowing the company to combine glazing and window manufacturing within one organisation.
