Galway-based aluminium fabricator Coen Glazing Systems is expanding its manufacturing capabilities through a strengthened partnership with Emmegi (UK), adding a 4-axis Comet X6HP CNC machining centre and a Precision RS twin-head saw to the Phantomatic M3 CNC purchased in 2024.
Based at a 30,000ft² facility in Ballinasloe, Galway, Coen Glazing has experienced significant growth since moving from installation into commercial fabrication. Founded seven years ago by brothers Niall and Darren Coen, the company now supplies aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling, louvres, brise soleil, cills and flashings for projects including schools, hospitals, hotels, student accommodation and build-to-rent developments.
The decision to invest in its own fabrication facility followed a major curtain walling contract, allowing the company greater control over quality, efficiency and production flexibility.
The Comet X6HP features pendular operation and supplementary axes, enabling multiple profiles to be machined simultaneously and increasing throughput. The Precision RS provides high-speed, high-capacity cutting with a 600mm blade and radial cutting capability.
