Universal Trade Frames Marks 30 Years In Business

Universal Trade Frames (UTF) is celebrating a significant milestone in 2026, marking 30 years since its establishment. Founded in 1996 by husband-and-wife team Brian and Jean Kruger, the Shropshire-based fabricator has grown from modest beginnings into a well-established name in the PVC-U window and door sector.

The company initially operated from a 5,000ft² facility, producing Spectus PVC-U windows and doors. Over the years, UTF has built a strong reputation for delivering consistent quality and reliable service. This has been supported by continuous investment in advanced machinery and production capabilities, allowing the business to improve accuracy, efficiency and product consistency.

As demand increased, UTF expanded its operations, with its premises now spanning 30,000ft². Alongside this physical growth, the company has also diversified its offering, developing a portfolio of more than 20 products to meet evolving market requirements.

Reflecting on the company’s journey, sales director Richard Hammond highlighted UTF’s long-standing commitment to development and customer assurance. He noted that reaching the 30-year mark demonstrates the company’s resilience, reliability and long-term vision, providing confidence to its customer base.

UTF also recognises the role its employees have played in shaping the business. With many long-serving team members across technical support, customer service and production, the company attributes much of its success to the expertise and dedication of its people.
