From 16 to 19 November 2027, VITRUM – The Glass Economy Expo will bring the international glass community to Fiera Milano, Rho, with a significantly expanded vision for the future of the sector. The main purpose of the 2027 edition is to create an international platform connecting the entire glass value chain, while demonstrating how glass is becoming increasingly important across multiple industries.
At the centre of the new format is the concept of the “Glass Economy” – an ecosystem linking glass technologies, production, processing, applications and sustainable development. Alongside its established focus on flat-glass processing machinery and technologies, VITRUM 2027 will place greater emphasis on hollow glass and industrial applications where glass represents a strategic material.
The exhibition will connect glass with key sectors including construction and façades, automotive and mobility, design and furniture, packaging, energy and sustainable technologies. The objective is to bring manufacturers, processors, technology suppliers, buyers, designers, institutions and other stakeholders together to develop new commercial and technological relationships.
Business development will remain a central priority. VITRUM is planning networking, business-matching activities and international buyer engagement, supported by an international roadshow designed to strengthen connections with strategic markets ahead of the 2027 event.
