The Endurance Group has reinforced its long-term commitment to UK manufacturing with the acquisition of its 2.2-acre production site in Brigg, North Lincolnshire.
The group – which comprises Endurance Doors, Endurance Aluminium and BDC Aluminium – has purchased the site where its main production operations have been based since 2002. The deal was completed for an undisclosed sum, with legal support provided by Bridge McFarland LLP.
According to CEO Stephen Nadin, the move delivers stability for employees, customers and partners alike. By securing ownership of the premises, the company removes potential risks associated with relocation or rising rental costs, ensuring uninterrupted supply of its fenestration products.
Over the past 23 years, the Brigg facility has expanded through the incorporation of additional units and continuous reinvestment. The site now includes:
- A dedicated distribution hub
- Extensive stockholding facilities
- More than 48,500 sq. ft. of internal manufacturing space
Recent capital investments underline the group’s operational ambitions. More than £250,000 has been invested into a remodelled assembly hall used for manufacturing Endurance composite doors. The upgraded facility incorporates production techniques typically associated with the automotive and aerospace sectors, designed to improve efficiency, precision and product quality.
Further enhancements include a new dust extraction system to improve workplace health and safety, while work is set to begin on a state-of-the-art paint spraying facility.
