Satinal Highlights STRATO® Solar PV Encapsulants’ Proven Performance

Satinal S.p.A. is highlighting the long-term performance of its STRATO® Solar PV encapsulants, a range of Italian-made films designed to meet the durability, reliability and aesthetic requirements of photovoltaic modules.

The product portfolio covers several encapsulation technologies for both the front and rear sides of solar modules. EVA SOLAR PV and HLT films offer rapid curing and resistance to potential-induced degradation (PID), with options for UV protection or high light transmission. POE SOLAR PV films provide rapid cross-linking and PID resistance, while TPO SOLAR PV products are designed to reduce outdoor back-sheet yellowing or optimise light transmission.

The range also includes EPE SOLAR PV, a co-extruded EVA-POE-EVA multilayer structure, and EVA Solar PV ColorQuant™, which enables coloured photovoltaic applications in building façades and rooftops. Available colours include green, dark grey, light grey and terracotta.

Satinal positions STRATO® as an alternative to mass-market encapsulants, emphasising long-term reliability and performance. The company also highlights its Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verification and ISO 9001 quality management certification.

With building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) gaining importance in architectural design, coloured encapsulants offer opportunities to integrate solar energy generation into building envelopes while maintaining greater control over appearance.
