Regency Glass Secures Strategic Investment and Relocates to 420,000 sq. ft Warrington Facility

Regency Glass, one of the United Kingdom’s leading manufacturers of insulated glass units (IGUs), has entered a transformative new chapter marked by a strategic investment from business acquisition compounder CorpAcq and a landmark relocation to a 420,000 sq. ft production facility at Omega Business Park, Warrington. The move represents one of the most significant expansions in the UK glazing sector this year.

CorpAcq, known for investing in well-established and cash-generative SMEs, has acquired a majority stake in Regency Glass. The partnership builds on a long-standing relationship between the two organisations. According to Wayne Fitzmartin, Chief Operating Officer at Regency Glass, CorpAcq’s involvement is “a vote of confidence in our people, our products, and our future.” CorpAcq CEO David Martin echoed this vision, emphasising the company’s belief in Regency’s growth potential and its experienced management team.

A Major Relocation to Support Historic Growth

With CorpAcq’s backing, Regency is relocating from its 110,000 sq. ft site in Leigh to a new 420,000 sq. ft facility designed to EPC A standards and awarded a BREEAM Excellent rating. This site stands as the largest single-site lease completed in the North West of England in 2025.

Originally, Regency had planned to move into around 125,000 sq. ft of industrial space. However, surging demand for its latest innovation, Regency Triple featuring Corning® Enlighten™ Glass, required a significantly larger, consolidated facility.

Developed in collaboration with Corning Incorporated, this product marks a leap forward in IGU technology. The ultra-thin triple-glazed unit fits into a 28mm cavity, weighs 30% less than conventional triple glazing, and is only 5% heavier than standard double glazing. It offers enhanced thermal efficiency, increased durability, and easier handling, setting a new benchmark for the replacement window market. Custom cavity widths using Thermo Plastic Spacer (TPS®) further extend design flexibility.

A Strategic Step for the UK Glazing Industry

Indurent, the developer behind the Omega West site, worked closely with Regency to ensure the facility met the company’s expanding needs. Equipped with modern infrastructure and excellent transport links, the new building will support Regency’s increased production capacity and long-term scalability.

Regency CEO Darren Beazant described the relocation as a defining milestone: “This is an opportunity the business truly deserves, a chance for our team to shape something extraordinary and redefine the UK glazing market.”

With the new facility and CorpAcq’s strategic investment, Regency Glass is poised to become the largest single-site IGU manufacturer in the UK, and one of the most advanced glass production operations worldwide, marking a breakthrough moment for the entire UK glazing industry.
