Professional Visitor Registration Opens for China Glass 2026 as Global Industry Momentum Builds

The global glass industry is entering a decisive phase, shaped by sustainability targets, technological acceleration, and shifting demand across construction, mobility, and advanced manufacturing. Against this backdrop, professional visitor registration has officially opened for the 35th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition (China Glass 2026), reaffirming the event’s role as one of the most influential meeting points for the worldwide glass sector.

China Glass 2026 will take place from 7–10 April 2026 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, bringing together manufacturers, technology providers, processors, and industry decision-makers from across the value chain. Hosted by the Chinese Ceramic Society and organised by Beijing Zhonggui Exhibition Co., Ltd., the exhibition continues to act as a key barometer for market direction and industrial confidence.

Despite ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainty, exhibitor engagement remains notably strong. A total of 765 companies have already confirmed participation, including 605 domestic Chinese exhibitors and 160 international manufacturers from nearly 30 countries and regions, spanning Europe, North America, and Asia.

This sustained international presence highlights the strategic importance of the Chinese market at a time when global demand is increasingly driven by energy efficiency regulations, low-carbon construction, and high-performance glass applications. Products such as Low-E glass, vacuum glazing, smart and switchable glass, and advanced coatings are seeing growing adoption, while parallel expansion in electric vehicles, photovoltaics, consumer electronics, and packaging continues to drive demand for automotive, solar, ultra-thin, and container glass.

To accommodate growing interest, China Glass 2026 will occupy seven exhibition halls (N1–N5, W4 and W5), with a total exhibition area of approximately 90,000 square metres. The show will present a comprehensive overview of the glass industry ecosystem, from raw materials to finished products.

Key exhibition segments will include:

  • Glass production technologies, including intelligent furnaces, energy-efficient melting solutions, and automation systems
  • Deep processing equipment, covering tempering, lamination, coating, insulating glass and precision processing
  • Innovative glass products, spanning architectural, automotive, electronic, decorative and functional applications
  • Refractories, raw materials and auxiliary systems, supporting efficiency, durability and sustainability

Beyond the exhibition floor, China Glass 2026 will host a programme of technical forums, industry discussions and product launches, addressing topics central to the sector’s future. These will include smart manufacturing, zero-carbon building solutions, energy-saving glazing, and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), offering visitors valuable insight into regulatory trends, technological breakthroughs and evolving market expectations.
