The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) has marked the success of its Industry Connect 2026 event, which brought together professionals from across the glass and glazing sector for a day of collaboration, insight, and networking.
Held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the event welcomed more than 250 members and industry partners, highlighting the strength and connectivity of the sector. Alongside facilitating meaningful discussions, the event also raised £2,790 for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), reinforcing the industry’s commitment to mental health awareness.

Industry Connect 2026 provided a platform for businesses across the supply chain to exchange perspectives and explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the built environment. As the recognised voice of the sector, the GGF continues to foster engagement, support professional development, and encourage dialogue around key industry issues.
Throughout the event, a range of speakers addressed the evolving policy, regulatory, and technological landscape. Mike Butterick emphasised the importance of collaboration and strong representation as companies navigate increasing regulatory demands and environmental pressures.

Chris Tahmasaby, CEO of ICAAL, shared insights into the growing role of artificial intelligence within the industry, highlighting how emerging technologies are influencing processes, efficiency, and decision-making across construction and related sectors.
A standout moment of the day was the keynote speech delivered by Frank Bruno MBE, whose personal story resonated strongly with attendees and underscored the importance of resilience, wellbeing, and community within the industry.
Reflecting on the event, Lauren Mawford highlighted the value of bringing industry professionals together.
“Events such as Industry Connect demonstrate the strength of our sector when we come together to share knowledge, ideas, and experience,” she said. “They give our members the opportunity to connect, learn from one another, and discuss the issues that will shape the future of glass and glazing.”
The event also featured a charity raffle, with ten pairs of signed boxing gloves from Frank Bruno helping to raise funds for CALM. Additionally, John Mannell delivered a presentation focused on mental health awareness, reflecting the industry’s ongoing commitment to wellbeing.
