Forel x Tritemplex: INSULEX IG Line Installed in Peru for Flexible, High-Durability IGU Production

Tritemplex, a glass processor based in Peru with more than 30 years of experience, has strengthened its insulating glass production through a collaboration with Forel, focusing on building a workflow that can handle diversified, project-specific requirements without losing consistency in the final unit.

Tritemplex operates across residential, commercial, and institutional glazing, and over time its portfolio has shifted increasingly toward bespoke processing, projects that differ in glass build-ups, dimensions, and performance expectations. This evolution created a clear operational challenge: as order complexity grew, the company needed to reassess how key stages of insulating glass (IGU) manufacturing were organised to maintain quality and reliability across different job types.

Instead of starting from a single machine selection, the Forel–Tritemplex dialogue began with the production process as a whole. The objective was to define a production flow capable of managing different types of processing while keeping sealing accuracy, repeatability, and unit performance stable. Based on shared analysis of day-to-day production needs, the teams defined a setup aligned with Tritemplex’s actual operational requirements, avoiding a standard “off-the-shelf” layout.

Within this framework, Tritemplex introduced the INSULEX insulating glass line, configured according to its production targets. The chosen configuration integrates a flexible silicone-based spacer system, a solution already established within Forel’s IG technologies. This spacer approach is designed to support better edge-zone behaviour by reducing condensation risk and limiting thermal bridging, helping maintain thermal stability around the perimeter of the IGU.

To complete the sealing package, the line uses silicone sealants selected for long-term durability and resistance, supporting consistent performance even under extreme environmental conditions, a key factor for insulating glass expected to perform over many years in variable climates and exposure scenarios.

The outcome of the collaboration is a production setup designed to evolve with Tritemplex’s changing project mix, while keeping the priority on quality control, reliability, and adaptable manufacturing. It reflects a process-first model where technology is configured around real fabrication requirements, ensuring the IG line supports both performance expectations and operational efficiency.
