Fabframes has moved into full-scale production of the Stellar Aluminium window and door range following sustained trade demand for its slimline Stellar bifold doors. The decision reflects continued growth in aluminium across the UK fenestration sector, where installers are increasingly specifying aluminium systems for projects requiring narrow sightlines, large glazed openings and long-term structural performance.
Initially manufacturing only bifold doors, the Devon-based fabricator reports strong installer feedback focused on ease of fabrication, installation efficiency and the quality of the finished product. For installers operating in time-pressured residential and refurbishment markets, reduced fitting time and consistent tolerances have become critical differentiators, prompting Fabframes to broaden its aluminium offer.
The expansion sees Fabframes bring in-house production of the complete Stellar portfolio, including aluminium windows, residential doors, sliding doors, heritage-style systems and bifolds. To support this, the company has invested in additional factory space and aluminium-specific equipment, enabling tighter control over lead times, quality assurance and production capacity as order volumes increase.
Stellar Aluminium notes that Fabframes’ progression, from initial Stellar fabrication in August 2025 to full-system manufacture, highlights growing fabricator confidence in aluminium as a core product category rather than a specialist add-on. The move also aligns with wider industry trends toward regional fabrication, shorter supply chains and reliable turnaround.
For installers across the South West, the expanded production provides faster access to a complete aluminium system range supported by local manufacturing and consistent service.
