Bendheim’s GripGlaze Canopy Clip system was used at the new Clifton Health & Wellness Center for Hackensack Meridian Health, an ambulatory care facility on the ON3 campus in Clifton, New Jersey. The 80,000-square-foot project features approximately 1,000 square feet of laminated glass forming a custom entrance canopy designed for durability and visual lightness.
The canopy consists of 26 custom glass panels ranging from 60 inches by 60 inches to 60 inches by 140 inches. Engineered to meet strict structural requirements, the system maintains a minimal aesthetic while supporting daylighting and transparency at the building entrance.

Bendheim was engaged during early design development, working from preliminary drawings with the architect, glazing contractor, and steel fabricator. This collaboration refined the structural strategy, transitioning from a steel-heavy concept to a more efficient solution that reduced steel usage and simplified installation.
The GripGlaze Canopy System uses a mechanically fastened, dry-glazed connection that eliminates drilling through glass. Its adjustable design allows precise alignment of large panels while maintaining safety and performance.
The completed canopy provides weather protection while preserving visibility and daylight, reinforcing an open and welcoming entrance experience for patients and visitors.
