Bamboo Façades has entered a new three-year partnership with Stellar Aluminium Systems, confirming a major shift in how the company will deliver aluminium windows and doors for its commercial portfolio. Instead of continuing to outsource aluminium fenestration, Bamboo Façades is moving to direct in-house fabrication to gain tighter control over quality, programme certainty, and installation performance.
The agreement supports the company’s expansion into an additional 6,500 sq ft fabrication facility in Runcorn, positioned close to its existing operational base, increasing production capacity and streamlining workflow between fabrication and site delivery. Managing director Mark Austin, who previously worked with Stellar Aluminium, said the decision was a natural evolution, noting that the Stellar system is “straightforward to fabricate and easy to install.” He also highlighted the value of fully flush windows, explaining that they remove the need to prep through beads, which helps speed up fabrication and improve consistency on the shop floor.
A major driver behind the partnership is Stellar’s supply chain performance. Bamboo Façades cited short lead times, with material deliveries achievable the following week, allowing more flexibility during the design phase and reducing risk created by early-stage ordering.
The partnership is already moving into live delivery, with Bamboo Façades securing a flagship commercial new-build and heritage refurbishment project involving more than 200 Stellar aluminium windows and doors to be manufactured and installed in the coming months.
