AI Takes Centre Stage at Glass Futures’ Next Generation Industry Conference

Registration Opens for Next Generation Industry Conference at Glass Futures

Registration is now open for the Next Generation Industry Conference, taking place on 18 March 2026 at Glass Futures in St Helens, Liverpool City Region.

The half-day event (10:00–14:00) will examine the technologies redefining industrial production, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and its expanding influence across manufacturing, digitalisation and automation.

Industry Leaders Share AI Insight

The programme brings together international organisations at the forefront of industrial transformation:

  • Siemens will present its Industrial AI Operating System, demonstrating how AI is being embedded across design, simulation, manufacturing and operational workflows.
  • Lucideon will highlight how AI and machine learning are accelerating materials development while optimising production performance.
  • Şişecam will outline the deployment of AI across 45 plants in 14 countries, including real-time defect detection across more than 12 production lines to reduce waste and emissions.

Additional contributions include an AI project overview from Glass Futures’ Dr Jim Scotson and a high-level panel discussion on “AI in Manufacturing” featuring:

  • NVIDIA, a global leader in AI computing
  • F.I.C. (UK) LIMITED, advancing AI integration within glass production
  • The University of Liverpool’s Virtual Engineering Centre, specialists in digital modelling and simulation

Lunch, networking opportunities and an optional tour of Glass Futures’ state-of-the-art facilities are also included.

Driving the Future of Industrial Manufacturing

Open to professionals across manufacturing, glass production, R&D, academia, supply chain and digital technology, the conference responds to mounting pressure on industry to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions and enhance operational performance.

By combining practical case studies with strategic discussion, the event aims to foster cross-sector collaboration and accelerate the adoption of AI-driven industrial solutions.
