A New Standard in LSG: LiSEC Brings LamiPress into Its Technology Portfolio

LiSEC Group has taken a decisive step in advancing laminated glass production by acquiring a majority stake in LamiPress GmbH, integrating a system that directly challenges the limitations of conventional autoclave-based processes.

The LamiPress technology operates without autoclaves, pre-lamination lines, or vacuum bags, yet achieves certified autoclave-level quality using both PVB and SGP interlayers. This performance has been independently validated by Kuraray and Eastman, confirming that optical clarity, adhesion, and structural safety meet established laminated safety glass standards.

From a technical and operational standpoint, the system introduces measurable efficiencies. Energy consumption remains below 10 kWh/m², significantly lower than traditional autoclave processes, while cycle times begin at approximately 45 minutes depending on configuration. Yield rates can reach up to 99%, supported by a controlled, recipe-driven process that minimizes human error and material waste. Output capacity is scalable, ranging from 50 m² per day in compact setups to as much as 750 m² in high-output configurations.

A key differentiator lies in its flexible process architecture. LamiPress enables simultaneous processing of different laminate structures on a single transfer plate, allowing manufacturers to run mixed batches without interrupting production flow. This is particularly valuable for processors handling customized orders, varying glass thicknesses, or complex geometries such as panels with drilled holes, cut-outs, or irregular shapes.

The modular product range includes systems like the LamiPress 4030, offering a usable surface of 4 x 3 meters, alongside advanced variants with twin-table configurations and integrated LamiStore solutions for optimized material handling and throughput. These systems can be tailored to factory layouts, production volumes, and specific product mixes.

By eliminating auxiliary components such as vacuum bags and reducing the need for post-processing, LamiPress lowers both capital investment and ongoing maintenance costs. With this acquisition, LiSEC not only broadens its laminated glass portfolio but delivers a highly adaptable manufacturing solution aligned with the industry’s growing demand for efficiency, customization, and reduced operational complexity.
