A new acid-etched glass facility is scheduled to open in 2027 in Huntsville, Texas. The plant, the brainchild of Walker Glass in collaboration with Gardner Glass Products, will manufacture Walker Textures full-surface acid-etched glass and AviProtek bird-friendly glass.

Officials explain the facility will be able to produce jumbo sheets of 130 inches by 204 inches and 130 inches by 240 inches, in addition to standard sizes of 96 inches by 130 inches and 100 inches by 144 inches.

“This facility is a major milestone,” says Randy Brooks, president and CEO. “Expanding our production capacity with the proximity to key United States markets gives us a powerful engine for growth. It will allow us to offer customers greater flexibility in sizing, along with a reliable and convenient supply of mirror, full-surface etched glass and bird-friendly glass, all manufactured in Huntsville.”

Charles Alexander, senior vice president of sales and marketing, adds that the new location will also help supply Walker’s fabricator network throughout the South Central United States and open the door to fabricators seeking oversized stock sheets.
