AGS American Glass Services Acquires Mark Industries

AGS American Glass Services has acquired Mark Industries Ltd., a commercial glazing contractor based in Elgin, Illinois, expanding its presence in the Chicago market and strengthening its service capabilities.

Founded in 1988, Mark Industries provides commercial glazing services across the greater Chicago area, southern Wisconsin and northern Indiana. Its operations cover the entire project process, including estimating, shop drawings, material procurement, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repairs for commercial and institutional buildings.

Mark Industries Owner and President Josh Cunningham sought a strategic partner to support the company’s continued growth while preserving its workforce, relationships and established company culture. Calder Capital managed the sale process, acting as the exclusive sell-side mergers and acquisitions adviser.

The transaction attracted significant interest from potential buyers. Calder Capital distributed 183 Confidential Information Memorandums, received nine indications of interest and secured four letters of intent. The acquisition was completed within two months of signing the letter of intent.

Cunningham praised Calder Capital’s professionalism and guidance throughout the transaction, describing its support as instrumental to the successful outcome.

The acquisition marks a new chapter for Mark Industries under AGS American Glass Services, combining the company’s established regional glazing operations with the acquirer’s broader business platform. The deal also reflects continued consolidation in the commercial glazing sector, as companies pursue strategic partnerships to support growth and expand their market presence.
