Glaston Reports Lower Sales Amid Weak Glass Processing Equipment Demand

Glaston reported lower net sales for January–September 2026, as continued weakness in the architectural glass processing equipment market affected demand. However, Services and Mobility glass equipment recorded positive developments during the period.

For the first nine months of 2026, orders received totalled €121.6 million, compared with €128.5 million in the same period of 2025. Net sales fell to €122.3 million from €159.8 million, while comparable EBITA reached €8.3 million.

In the third quarter, orders amounted to €42.2 million, the highest quarterly level so far this year. Mobility machine orders more than doubled year-on-year to €10.5 million, supported primarily by demand from Asia-Pacific. Service orders increased by 8%, reflecting continued investment in equipment upgrades, spare parts and maintenance.

Glaston also introduced new tempering, insulating glass and laminating technologies at glasstec 2026 in Düsseldorf, alongside automation solutions designed to improve production efficiency.

The company expects architectural glass equipment demand to remain subdued in the near term, although customer activity showed early signs of improvement. Its 2026 outlook remains unchanged, with net sales expected to decline from 2025 levels and comparable EBITA forecast at €9–11 million.
