The second day of glasstec 2026, taking place on 21 October in Düsseldorf, will focus on digital technologies, circular economy, research and emerging companies shaping the glass industry.
The glass trends sessions will bring together experts from research and industry to discuss three key topics: AI and digital technologies, decarbonisation, and the circular economy. The sessions will take place in Hall 10, Stand A10, from 10:30 am to 3:15 pm.
Circularity will remain a central theme through CircuClarity Two, whose second conference day will explore approaches to improving circularity across the glass and façade sectors. The programme will conclude with the presentation of the CircuClarity Award 2026, scheduled for 10:00 am to 4:30 pm in Hall 11, Stand C28.
Start-ups will also have a dedicated platform to present their technologies and business ideas. Presentations will run from 3:15 pm to 5:45 pm in Hall 10, while the Start-Up Zone in Hall 11, Stand E24, will remain open throughout the exhibition day.
At glass technology live, visitors can examine full-scale prototypes, mock-ups and practical applications of new glass technologies. Guided tours are scheduled for 10:30 am and 2:00 pm in Hall 11.
Meanwhile, VDMA’s Connected Machines area in Hall 15 will demonstrate how machines from different manufacturers can exchange data through standardised interfaces and shared data models, highlighting the role of connectivity in modern glass production.
