GlassBuild America 2026 Ends With Strong Engagement, Cautious Buying

GlassBuild America 2026 concluded on September 25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center after three days of product launches, technology demonstrations and industry education, with exhibitors reporting strong engagement but more cautious purchasing decisions.

Held from September 23–25, the event brought glass and glazing companies together with customers seeking equipment, products, software and specialty solutions. Several exhibitors described the show as productive for relationship-building, although economic uncertainty appeared to influence immediate buying commitments.

F. Barkow Inc. reported a slower opening day followed by stronger engagement on Thursday. Brian Hackett said visitor activity increased as the event progressed, but customers were less likely to make firm purchasing commitments compared with previous years.

Strybuc Industries also reported particularly strong engagement on the second day. The company highlighted its recent acquisition of Blaine Window Hardware and the opening of a plant in Reno, which expands its ability to serve West Coast customers with one-day shipping. The acquisition included Blaine’s inventory, tooling, manufacturing assets, catalogs, technical data, copyrights and intellectual property.

Specialty glass was another area drawing attention. Glassopolis reported strong foot traffic and numerous inquiries around its fire-rated, lead X-ray and bullet-resistant glass products. The company noted particularly strong demand for fire-rated glass, partly linked to continued construction of hospitals and medical centers, where X-ray glass is also widely used.

At Smart Glazier, now part of Cyncly, the emphasis was on the quality of visitors rather than overall volume. Bridget Mullen said attendees were highly informed and more prepared to move forward with specific solutions. The company also attracted interest in its recently updated railing designer software, released several weeks before the event.

With GlassBuild America 2026 now concluded, exhibitor feedback points to a market where engagement remains active, but purchasing decisions are being approached more carefully.
