Glass Technology Services (GTS) has launched GTS Innovation, a new dedicated innovation hub in Sheffield supporting businesses, entrepreneurs, university spin-outs and researchers working across materials science and advanced manufacturing.
The facility provides flexible workspace, meeting areas, specialist equipment, technical expertise and access to a collaborative industry network, giving innovators practical resources to develop and commercialise new ideas.
Located within Sheffield’s established manufacturing and research community, the hub is designed to help organisations progress from early-stage concepts through to prototype development, technical problem-solving and product or process optimisation. Users can access GTS specialists and facilities without making significant upfront investments in their own infrastructure.
Gareth Jones, Managing Director at GTS, said the hub was created around the importance of collaboration, technical expertise and access to appropriate resources during the innovation process. 
GTS Innovation also offers opportunities to explore demonstration technologies and participate in collaborative workshops, helping businesses connect with technical specialists and potential partners.
The initiative forms part of GTS’s wider commitment to advancing innovation in materials science, processing technologies and manufacturing development, while strengthening connections between industry, academia and emerging companies.
The hub is open to organisations and individuals at different stages of development, from exploring an initial concept to refining an existing product or manufacturing process.
