NorthGlass Advances High-Temperature Electric Kiln Technology for Low-Carbon Manufacturing

NorthGlass is strengthening its focus on energy-efficient thermal processing following a recent visit from representatives of China’s building materials sector and industrial investment community.

On August 26, Wang Xiaofang, Deputy Director of the China Building Materials Industry Planning and Research Institute, and Chen Lin, Senior Researcher at SDIC Innovation Investment Management Co., Ltd., visited Luoyang NorthGlass High-Temperature Electric Kiln Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., a controlled subsidiary of NorthGlass.

The delegation reviewed the company’s latest developments in high-temperature electric kiln technology and its potential to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions across the building materials industry.

NorthGlass presented its three-layer, single-chamber roller kiln, equipped with AI-based temperature control, high-temperature fan circulation and airflow management. The system reportedly maintains temperature uniformity within ±1°C and achieves product yields above 95%. Compared with conventional gas-fired kilns, the technology can reduce overall energy consumption by more than 60%, with electricity consumption reportedly as low as 0.78 kWh/kg of finished product.
