The new Museum of Ethnography in Budapest combines contemporary architecture with advanced glazing technology to create a world-class environment for preserving and displaying cultural heritage. Among the key contributors to the project is AGC Glass Europe, whose Stratobel Clearvision 55.4 laminated safety glass was selected for the museum’s bespoke display cases.
A total of 203 custom-made showcases, manufactured and installed by REIER, were designed to protect and present the museum’s extensive collection of ethnographic artifacts. The use of Stratobel Clearvision 55.4 ensures both high levels of safety and exceptional visual clarity, allowing visitors to experience exhibits with minimal visual distortion.

The low-iron composition of the glass provides outstanding transparency and color neutrality, helping preserve the authentic appearance of objects on display. At the same time, its laminated structure delivers enhanced protection for valuable artifacts, meeting the demanding safety requirements of a modern museum environment.
The project forms part of the Liget Budapest development and was designed by NAPUR Architect, with exhibition and interior design by art1st design studio. Together, the project team has created a contemporary cultural destination where architecture, exhibition design, and advanced materials work seamlessly to enhance the visitor experience while safeguarding important historical collections for future generations.
