VITRUM 2027 Launches International Roadshow to Present New Global Exhibition Format

GIMAV has officially launched the international roadshow leading up to VITRUM 2027, unveiling the exhibition’s new strategic format during a business mission in Casablanca from May 4–7, 2026. The next edition of VITRUM will take place from November 16 to 19, 2027 at Fiera Milano.

The announcement was made during the plenary session organized by GIMAV in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency, where GIMAV Director General Lucia Masutti presented a new international strategy designed to strengthen VITRUM’s global positioning and expand its role within the worldwide glass industry.

Morocco marks the first stop of an international promotional journey that will continue across strategic markets over the coming months. The initiative aims to engage manufacturers, processors, technology suppliers, architects, institutions, and buyers while building stronger relationships with rapidly developing markets.

VITRUM 2027 will introduce an evolved exhibition model focused on the broader concept of the “Glass Economy,” positioning glass as a key material driving innovation, sustainability, and industrial development. While the exhibition will continue to showcase technologies for flat glass processing, the new format will also significantly expand its focus on hollow glass production and cross-sector industrial applications.

The event aims to connect industries including construction, automotive, furniture, packaging, design, renewable energy, and advanced sustainable technologies, creating a more integrated and international business platform.

A major role in the development of the new exhibition concept will also be played by the partnership between GIMAV and Italian Exhibition Group, which is expected to strengthen the exhibition’s international reach and support future sector growth.

Speaking during the event, Lucia Masutti stated that VITRUM 2027 is intended to become “much more than a trade fair,” evolving into a global platform representing the future development of the international glass industry.
