Italian glass processing machinery specialist Forel is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the inauguration of a major new production facility at its headquarters in Vallio di Roncade, Treviso, reinforcing its long-term commitment to innovation, industrial growth and international expansion.
The new development, officially unveiled in the presence of partners and local authorities, represents a significant milestone in the company’s history. Built over a two-year period, the new production wing extends the existing industrial site by 9,000 square metres and is expected to increase Forel’s production capacity by 40 percent. The expansion will enable the company to accelerate order processing and reduce delivery times across its range of glass processing solutions.
The facility also includes a permanent showroom dedicated to displaying Forel’s machinery and latest technological developments. Over the years, the company has strengthened its global presence through four international subsidiaries and a network of 20 agencies operating worldwide.
Forel President and Founder Fortunato Vianello described the anniversary as both a symbolic and strategic milestone, highlighting the company’s ability to anticipate market demands through continuous technological innovation while maintaining its family identity and strong ties to the local territory.
To commemorate the occasion, Forel has also restored and permanently installed Le Ali di Venezia, a monumental glass artwork created in tribute to Venice and Murano’s master glassmakers. The sculpture, featuring 430 handcrafted blown-crystal feathers, now stands in front of the company’s headquarters as a symbol of the connection between industry, art and Italian craftsmanship.
