Ardagh Glass Hosts Annual “Train the Trainer” Event in North America

Ardagh Glass recently brought together glass plant trainers from across North America for its annual “Train the Trainer” event, held at the company’s Sapulpa, Oklahoma facility. The three-day program aimed to enhance the skills, knowledge, and confidence of trainers, reinforcing Ardagh Glass’ commitment to excellence in both production and workforce development.

The first day featured presentations from the Safety and Quality teams, prompting discussions on best practices and continuous improvement. Trainers also participated in emotional intelligence workshops, gaining tools to communicate more effectively and provide stronger support to their teams.

Day two focused on technical development, with dedicated sessions for both hot end and cold end operations. These sessions offered trainers the opportunity to deepen their expertise, exchange practical insights, and explore innovative approaches to production challenges.

The final day emphasised training effectiveness, introducing participants to the Kirkpatrick Model, Standard Work Instruction training, and interactive communication techniques. The program concluded with a guided tour of the Sapulpa facility, allowing trainers to connect theory with real-world operations.

Through this event, Ardagh Glass continues to invest in the growth and development of its trainers, ensuring that its North American plants benefit from knowledgeable, skilled, and confident training leaders.
