Verallia Spotlights Supply Chain Innovation Through CSR Supplier Awards

Verallia has reinforced its sustainability agenda by recognising four strategic partners through its CSR Supplier Awards, an initiative designed to highlight measurable progress across its supply chain. The awards were presented by Verallia Italia on March 16 at the Group’s production site in Corsico, near Milan, bringing together key stakeholders to exchange best practices on decarbonisation and circularity.

The selected suppliers: Air Liquide, ENGIE Italia, Fonderie Valdelsane, and Mi.Gra., were each awarded for projects delivering tangible environmental benefits.

Air Liquide was recognised for deploying oxy-combustion technology in glass furnaces, a solution that replaces air with pure oxygen during combustion, significantly reducing fuel consumption and lowering CO₂ emissions. ENGIE Italia received the award for integrating industrial heat recovery systems into a local district heating network, enabling surplus heat from production processes to be reused for community energy needs.

Fonderie Valdelsane was honoured for its “CIRCULARITY” project, which focuses on extending the lifecycle of moulds through reuse and refurbishment, reducing raw material demand and waste. Meanwhile, Mi.Gra. was acknowledged for its work in recovering mineral residues and converting them into secondary raw materials suitable for industrial reuse.
