The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) has announced the passing of Henry Taylor, a respected industry leader and founder of Architectural Testing, Inc. (ATI), who died on March 9 at the age of 85.
Taylor was a longstanding and influential member of FGIA and its predecessor, the American Architectural Manufacturers Association. Over the years, he played a vital role in advancing research, testing standards, and industry collaboration. He served on the AAMA Board of Directors and received the prestigious Outstanding Member Award, recognizing his exceptional contributions.
As the founder of ATI, Taylor helped shape modern testing practices in the building products sector, introducing faster and more accurate methodologies. He was also instrumental in establishing the InstallationMasters® program, which continues to support quality installation standards across the industry.
Colleagues remember Taylor as a visionary leader, mentor, and dedicated family man. His influence extended beyond his own company, as he later supported the growth of Molimo, continuing to drive innovation and excellence.
